“Pushing clay to its limits,” British ceramist Ursula Morley Price is enthralled by the movement in her ceramics and the “engineering” of clay. Without tools or supports of any kind, she masterfully pinches and pulls clay coils until they become paper thin, parallel flanges. These undulating folds give each piece an extraordinary sense of movement, circling an often visually hidden core, the center of balance for the piece. She continues to amaze the international ceramic world as she breaks conventional boundaries with her incomparable sculptures.
