Robyn Horn is among the most admired and versatile wood sculptors. Robyn is drawn to “abstract, geometric sculpture… the textures, the negative spaces.” Her work reflects her belief that “the individual character of the material can be preserved by the inspiration of the artist.” Some appearing heavily rooted in place, some appearing to be precariously balanced, her sculptures often comprise strong, linear carvings and arced forms – “the curving lines of nature, together with the angular lines of geometry, resulting in a gentle merging of the two entities."
