Drawing upon a visual language rooted in organic forms, Susan Edgerley creates work that “explores themes of identity, community, existence and the human condition.” Her wall installations and sculptures comprise multiple cast or blown glass forms often combined with metal, wood, or fiber elements. The abstracted forms – some reminiscent of seed pods or insect cocoons, others bearing resemblance to tree branches or root systems – allude to life cycles of birth, transformation, and death.
